Mechanical engineering<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe micro-rotor's virtue has always involved a well-known compromise: it reveals the movement yet struggles to maintain the amplitude needed to generate power on an active wrist. Conventional watchmaking has treated every sudden, jarring move as wasted kinetic energy. Calibre RVI2023 turns those losses into a resource. Occupying the rotor's open centre, an integrated auxiliary mechanism \u2013 the dancer \u2013 captures shock impacts and springs back to propel the weight forward. Classic doctrine held that burdening a free-floating rotor only breeds friction; here, physical constraint yields power. It is this mechanical paradigm shift, far more than raw complexity, that makes this movement unique.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

An engineering concept remains incomplete until a hand brings it to life. This is the guiding ethos Julien Tixier brings to the Maison. Whereas the industry routinely delegates finishing, he places it at the very heart of creation: each hand-chamfered bridge, smoothed contour and mirror-polished internal angle bears the enduring imprint of a deliberate touch.<\/p>

At Renaud Tixier, finishing is never an afterthought or surface ornament: it is an uncompromising verdict, the exact point at which mechanical precision becomes visible art.<\/p>

Within the Tolochenaz workshops, the Maison safeguards the core traditions of fine watchmaking. Mirror polishing, rounded-off bridges, chamfering, C\u00f4tes de Gen\u00e8ve, sunburst brushing and circular graining: each process reveals the material in its own way, captures and shapes the light, thereby contributing contributes to the identity of every component. Crafted in accordance with traditional watchmaking expertise, these finishes reflect a meticulous attention to proportions, the sharpness of edges and the quality of surfaces.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

At Renaud Tixier, an artistic craft never serves merely to decorate a watch. It must have a reason for being. The Maison chooses to work with artisans whose mastery is a reference in their field; not to merely juxtapose skills, but to make them converse with watchmaking. Every collaboration is conceived from the very origin of the project, with the same demand for accuracy as that applied to the movement.<\/p>

Grand Feu enamelling, applied to the ratchet wheel and developed more broadly in the Monday Organica trilogy, is one expression of this attitude. Hand engraving, executed on the flanks of the Monday case-middle, is another. In both instances and doubtless many more to come, craft never takes precedence over the timepiece. It accompanies it, accentuates its volumes, resonates with its movement and reveals its construction differently.<\/p>

This subtle approach guides all the Maison's interactions. For the value of a craft lies not only in its rarity, but in the appropriateness of its place.
